CEGA発、チームビルディング開催！

今週末は生徒さん達はアイランドホッピングなどに出られたようですが、CEGAスタッフ達は「チームビルディング」なる真面目そうな研修を開催しました。

一昨年に開催したきりやっておらず、先生達から
「やろう！」と提案され、
「そんなにやりたいの？」「すごくやりたい！」
「マジですか？」「マジです！！」
「ではそんなにやりたいのならやりましょうか」
というあんばいで2年ぶりに行うことになりました。

チームビルディングっていったい何！？

チームビルディンって、日本の会社とかでもやってることがあるそうですね。
いわゆる人材コンサルタント会社とかに依頼してやってもらう「能力開発研修」とか「リーダーシップ研修」みたいなものみたいですね。
調べてみると「日本チームビルディング協会」なる組織まであるようです。

チームビルディングとは、仲間が主体的に自分らしさ、多様性を発揮しつつ、相互に関わりながら一丸となって共通のゴールを達成しようとチャレンジする、そうした組織をつくるための取り組み

だそうです。

ではフィリピン人の考えるチームビルディングとはどんなものか、手っ取り早く先生に聞いてみたら、丁寧に文面にしてくれたので下部に添付します。

要約すると、
「学校の講師やマネージャーなどすべてのスタッフが、チームビルディングアクティビティを通じて、リーダーシップ能力を高めたり、普段コミュニケーションをとれていない人同士のきずなを深めることで、働くモチベーションを上げたりすること」
が目的のようです。

日本のチームビルディングと大体同じですね。

しかし、、
セブと日本のチームビルディングとの決定的な違いが見つかりました。
それは、
日本　→　上司に言われたから参加するけど、あまり気が乗らないダルイ研修
セブ　→　スタッフ自ら企画運営まで率先してやる、やる気満々で楽しそうなイベント

そう、ノリが全然違うのです。
「アジアのラテン」と呼ばれるセブだからこのテンションなのか、ホントに楽しいからなのかを知りたい思いもあり参加してきました。

セブの山奥へ

チームビルディングの開催場所は、CEGAのあるセブ市から約1時間、セブ島の山奥にあるWEST35という宿泊研修施設です。
標高が高く山が見渡せ、空気がひんやりして気持ち良いロケーションです。

昼食を詰め込み、大型バンで山道を走ります。

到着後はさらにバイクで移動です。

目的地は、トレッキングの出発地でした。

なんとトレッキングがチームビルディングの最初のプログラムでした。

さすが自然に囲まれたセブですから、みんなで達成感も感じられいいアイデアですね。

その後はしっかり研修らしくミーティングの場を設け、CEGAの現状の課題や今後の取り組み等、しっかり話し合いました。 スタッフ間の親睦を深め、職場の風通しをよくすることで、仕事のパフォーマンスが上がるとすれば、今回のチームビルディングも十分成功だったといえそうです！

TEAM BUILDING

When you hear the word “Team Building”, one may instantly think it as a fun activity, some believe that it is an event which helps people in the office improve or grow, while others suppose it is a way to boost morale of employees.

Generally, it aims to the goodness not only for the business but also to strengthen the bond between the employees and the management.

Here are a few key benefits that any business or company will attain by undertaking a team building activity:

1. Better communication
Having good and sensible communication is essential in every workplace. Through facilitating activities such as discussion, it allows “open communication” between the boss and the employees or between co-workers. People in the team will be comfortable enough in sharing or imparting their ideas as well as their suggestions. Thus, leads to a high quality of work done. Also, it is where respect, trust, and good morale come in.

2. Leadership
In such event, employees will have the chance to show off their leadership attributes or qualities.

3. Motivates employees
Actually fun and bonding between employees are usually overlooked. As a matter of fact, boredom is inevitable to happen at work. That is why, it is necessary to undertake team building activity to motivate teachers to work at their best and with enthusiasm.

4. Results
Of course, any activity or event has its results and team building activity is structured to focus on the positive and stronger outcomes. They are attained when the latter benefits are achieved.
On the whole, team building in the workplace creates strong bond between the management and the workers which creates more fun and high productivity in day-to-day work by having better communication, good leadership plus the motivation for employees to work at their best.
